A truly immersive experience in the world of comic shops. Big Lick Comics boasts this is “not a store, a story” and they mean it. Each area of the store is given a name and backstory with a meaning and purpose within the story of the store itself.

With over 6,000 square feet of space it’s one of the largest shops of its kind in Virginia! Featuring over 140 new comic titles per month along their massive 60ft wall of comics entitled “Halls of All Knowing”, a kids and creative zone “Excelsior Park”, “With Great Coffee” cafe featuring H&C Coffees and Teas, “Action Figure Land” with the latest toys from Marvel Select & Legends, McFarlane Toys, Star Wars and many others plus thousands and thousands of collectible back issue comics, graded comics, collectibles, Funko Pops and so much more.

Big Lick Comics is owned and operated by brothers JD Sutphin and Adam Sutphin.

JD Sutphin is the owner and creative director of Big Lick Entertainment, producer of notable festivals, events and fundraisers to include Big Lick Comic Con, bringing thousands of patrons to Roanoke, VA to celebrate comics, creativity and pop culture since 2017.

Big Lick Comics, has JD partnering with his brother, Adam Sutphin. Adam has been the right hand man in Big Lick Entertainment and is a past comic store general manager.

Together they look to bring an unmatched experience to the world of comic shops while celebrating the art and words that have inspired generations and hopefully many more to come.

Big Lick Comics is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-7pm. Sundays, 12pm-4pm.
